Objectives of the Clan MacThomas Society

The Clan MacThomas Society was founded in 1954 to develop interest in the Clan, to preserve its traditions and to promote its welfare.

 

The Society's aims are:

 

      To promote the Clan's heritage in its

         ancient territories around Glenshee.

 

       To maintain and develop sites of 

          historical interest.

 

       To establish a number of active

          branches  around the world.

 

       To encourage gatherings activities

          that promote the Clan.

 

       To develop international kinship

          within the Society.

Society Organisation 

 

The Chief is the President of the Clan Society.

The Society is run by a Council of seven members. These include the President, two Vice-Presidents, a Treasurer & Membership Secretary, a representitive from the UK and the convenor or secretary of two of the Society's branches.
