German Pipe Band wears MacThomas Tartan

Members may be surprised to learn that there is a pipe band in Germany whose regular members wear the MacThomas modern tartan. The Ems Highlander Pipes and Drums come from the town of Emsdetten in Northern Germany. Clan Society member Sebastian Thomas is a piper in the band and he persuaded his fellow band members that the MacThomas tartan would be suitable for their kilts, bagpipe covers and ribbons. The band are sometimes joined by guest pipers who wear other tartans.
